Academy where we believe learning can be rewarding and exciting, but not without effort. Students acquiring skills, concepts and information necessary to master a course must put forth effort. Our goal is not to entertain children - parents can do so far more cheaply than sending them to Thomas Heyward Academy.


The philosophy of Thomas Heyward Academy is in accord with the conservative belief that no learning takes place without hard work. The Academy's primary' mission is to educate students in the basic skills. We cannot guarantee each student a quality education, only the opportunity to reach this goal through hard work, discipline and dedication.
 


   



 
Dear Parents,

One of our objectives at Thomas Heyward Academy, along with strong academics, athletics, and arts is to offer all of these in a safe and comfortable environment. However, In order for our students to be truly successful, they must be willing to leave their comfort zone.

As Osage said, "If you want a place in the sun, you must leave the shade of the family tree." Let us work together and make the 2008/2009 school year successful and comfortable for everyone.
